Forallac has a great deal of natural and scenic diversity, lending it exceptional environmental resources. The area covers a wide area which is located between the alluvial plain of the River Ter and the massif of Les Gavarres. This area comprises a typically Mediterranean ecosystem, with its characteristic oak and pine woods. The area’s oak woods are heavily populated by local wildlife due to their temperate, humid conditions.
Although it is difficult to catch sight of our local wild mammals, some of the area’s most typical wildlife may be glimpsed on the paths of the massif, such as squirrels, badgers or wild boars.
